King's Candle Bed & Breakfast

I'm delighted to share King's Candle B&B, an addition to my little hobby farm and healing practice just outside of Belwood. Just 12 minutes' drive to Fergus this is a great spot to stay for the Highland Games/ Scottish Festival, Elora's Riverfest concerts , shopping and outdoor adventures.
The guest suite has private entrance, bathroom, kitchenette. The room is lovely but it may be the natural setting of trees, ponds and wildlife that make you want to stay another day. Come be rejuvenated!

The Space

The main guest suite at King's Candle has its' own private entrance so you can come and go without having to go through the main part of house. The kitchenette has a small sink, microwave, fridge and dishes so you can bring food to warm up for meals here. The bathroom is bright and modern. The two single beds can be pushed up side by side or kept as in photos. A queen bed will soon be open for guests in a different room, soon to be listed.
For breakfasts: A few simple cold breakfast snacks will be provided for the first morning. Fresh coffee can be brewed by you in the provided French press. Teas will also be provided . Sit out on the little deck and enjoy the morning. The little restaurant in nearby Belwood offers great full hot breakfast with coffee, taxes in for $8. It's just across the bridge from the Elora-Cataract Trailway, just minutes from King's Candle.

Guest Access

Outside there is an acre or two of trees, pond and trails where one can walk or sit to enjoy the sunset or sunrise. The pond hosts wildlife that will keep the nature appreciator well entertained. A stone ruin, partly restored, can be used as a place for quiet meditation or reading when the sun is not too high.
Guests must be walked through by host prior to accessing stone ruin area on their own. The farm buildings are not accessible to the guests.
Winter can be a fun time for kick-sledding or cross country skiing. Kick sleds can be rented here at the farm. Bring your ski's if there is snow.
Smoking is permitted in certain areas but all cigarette butts must be placed in container provided. Butts on the ground can cause poisoning to habitat and farm animals so we ask you to please be respectful of this request.

Interaction with Guests

I am normally here when guests arrive so I can show them their rooms and outdoor spaces they may use. There may be times I just leave the key available and let you let yourselves in if you are comfortable with that. . I am reachable by text when not here in person.
